Halo 3 is basically the only hyped title. Past that, the line-up looks less then spectacular.
aaron @ Feb 6th 2006 8:33PM
odd, Grand Raid Offroad has been announced for 360 but it's not on the list. That's one I'm waiting for!
WTF @ Feb 7th 2006 6:38AM
These titles are neither confirmed nor announced for Xbox 360.

Lots of action. Lots of shooters. Only one RTS and one platformer. XB staying true to itself.
Robert @ Feb 3rd 2006 8:11PM
Hmmm... Oblivion's on there twice (collector's edition) and that's pretty much the only game I want for my 360. Aside from Halo 3. I'm getting the feeling that I will have to shell out the $$$ for a PS3 as well. Damn.
Anonymous Coward @ Feb 3rd 2006 8:16PM
So there's five RPGs in the list.
One is a new game available also available on PC.
One is a collector's edition of the above game.
One is exclusive.
One is an MMORPG and already available elsewhere.
One is rumoured.
Good thing I have a decent PC.
Paul @ Feb 3rd 2006 8:17PM
This list bores me. I'm much more excited about Xbox Live Arcade titles...
LMAO @ Feb 3rd 2006 8:19PM
Lost Odyssey actually made the list? Hmm
Ok now where's Ninety Nine Nights and Blue Dragon?
pfester @ Feb 3rd 2006 8:25PM
Super dooper! Nice to see another 007 in the mix. Sure would be nice to see S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl tho-gotta shake it out of our PC buds [maybe trade em MADDEN or something] yuk yuk!
bounchfx @ Feb 3rd 2006 8:42PM
It's simple, if you do not like the games coming out for 360 = don't buy a 360!
don't complain about it and says how much it sucks because your interest on the games coming out is low, other people are excited for a lot of the titles.
personally I'm very glad I bought a 360 and am enjoying it thuroughly.
I'm also excited for some ps3 games, mgs4, and, uh, whatever else is coming out because there hasn't been anything very interesting shown. ps3 is still dubious because we don't have any concrete facts, only speculation.
as for the 360 games, I'm interested in;
fight night, chromehounds, too human, huxley, elder scrolls, mass effect, ut2k7, moh:airborne, alan wake, ghost recon, halo 3, gears of war, ssx4, lost odyssey, blue dragon, top spin 2, and prey. I know there are many more to come too, and that isn't including the (hopefully) many arcade titles to come.
In my opinon that more than justifies my 360 purchase, and theres plenty of titles to come.
Sure, you could argue that some are multiconsole, and some are pc. So what? you do not need another console or pc to play them, only 360. if you have a pc or another console that can play it, great, play it on that, but don't discount the games because they are on other platforms as well.
I have a perfectly capable pc but for some reason I'll be getting Elder Scrolls: Oblivion on my 360 because I can sit at my couch away from my keyboard and mouse and enjoy the game on a big hi def screen. other people might want pc because they don't want the 360 or because they like the modding abilities, that's great, to each his own.
though I will most likely get UT2k7 on PC unless 360 releases a mouse and keyboard support for the game which will probably not happen. and honestly, for games like ut, the pc is MUCH better for multiplayer, not saying xbox live is bad at all, but for games like ut and call of duty pc kicks the crap out of 360.
I do hope the ps3 is good though, but from what I see, like I state so much, there isn't much to see besides promises like the ones made before ps2 come out, exadgerated things that will most likely not happen. I love my ps2 and all, but geez.
plus the fact I don't think I could afford that at all.
here's to revolution ;)

This list definitely gets my thumbs twitching! Ghost Recon, Halo 3, and the new Splinter Cell are enough game goodness to make my year. Throw in the new Tombraider (where she's getting back to her roots) and the new SSX and I'm good...very good.

I'm a little aprehensive that Nintey Nine Nights wasn't on the list. Then again, this is a list from IGN is it not? Hardly a really reliable source.
Lyndon @ Feb 3rd 2006 10:58PM
Considering the numerous delays with most X-Box 360 games, I doubt that they will release 86 games. I think anywhere from 40 to 50 if were lucky. The only way were getting to 86 is if they include XB Live Arcade games as part of their list.
Stuka @ Feb 4th 2006 12:54AM
Obviously they are including at least some XBLA games because Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting is on there.
My biggest problem is that it seems after the next big push of games that have pretty much set launch timeframes, it seems pretty barren. I really hope it doesn't turn out that Halo 3 is going solo in Fall or something because I'm not really into Halo at all.
tcc3 @ Feb 4th 2006 1:46AM
You'd better belive they arent going to release anything significant near Halo 3. Many folks dont have the budget more more than one title at a time. Why compete against their own products? If I recall correctly both Mechassault 2 and Ghost Recon 2 were slated for release Near Halo 2 and both got pushed back.
Tim @ Feb 4th 2006 2:22AM
I simply can't afford a 500$ graphics card to play my games on HDTV on my computer, not to mention the RAM and Processor gaps I'll have to fill out. I'm very excited about a bunch of games on this list, even the ones that will be available on the PC.
thomas @ Feb 4th 2006 4:22PM
the one's im looking forward to the most:

No CS:S love for the 360...the game for the original xbox was a platinum hit as well as one of the top played games on xbox live

I have a bad computer but I had more fun playing my xbox1 than my xbox 360. If cod2 had some good multiplayer, I'd be playing instead of complaining but there aren't any games out that make you want to keep playing...
aasdafaga @ Feb 5th 2006 12:00PM
Splinter Cell Double agent is being developed by Ubisoft Shanghai.

Most of those are not exclusive. It would be impossible to make money from just making an Xbox360 game and not porting it to other consoles.Only super franchises like Halo can make it as an Xbox360 exclusive .Look for most of those in the list to apear on all 3 consoles and some of them even on PS2 and Original Xbox. There's also a lot of rumours that Halo 3 will not be ready for 2006.Nintey Nine Nights has not got favorable reviews in Japan where there's a hands on Demo. It's said to be another Dynasty Warriors clone with pumped up graphics and more enemies onscreen and not the revolutionary RPG Japanese gamers were hoping for ? so don't worry about the non mention of the game.
